Covers everything from descriptions of the 50 most common mental illnesses and their treatments to free down-loadable diagnostic software for mood disorders. Information on the 67 most common psychiatric drugs. In addition to the encyclopaedia of information on topics, such as complications of popular treatments, there is an on-line magazine full of news and articles. Inspiring reading for all are the recovery success stories.
www.cmhc.com Mental Health Net. Very comprehensive American site for all user groups covering a wide variety of mental health-related topics. Includes disorders and treatments, medications, self help, friends and family issues, professional resources, on-line support groups, suggested reading, and managed care & administration. Many web links. www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk This is the National Health Service Direct site. For information on schizophrenia, click on Conditions and Treatment, then Head and Brain and scroll down to the schizophrenia topic.
