After lunch, the CRISP (Community Rehabilitation Integration Support) team tackled questions of community rehabilitation, integration and support.

Next, Dr Peter Dick spoke on assertive community treatment, theory and practice, and Irene Sharkie explained the new advances in drug treatment available.

After more workshops, the conference concluded with a plenary session.

It was generally agreed that the day was extremely valuable, particularly for the carers attending, and that there was certainly a continuing need for such events in the future.

The conference was well covered in the local press, and a more detailed report of the proceedings will be available on our website and in hard copy in due course.
