Please help decide what we will to do in the
years ahead
Every three years, we review what NSF (Scotland) has been doing and look at the
future and what we should be doing next. We are now thinking about our activities
for the three years which start in April 2002 and would like the views of our
members, our staff and volunteer workers and all those who use our services.
Our mission statement is:
To improve the wellbeing and quality of life of those affected by
schizophrenia and other mental illness, including families and carers.
We do not expect that to change for the next three years, but would welcome your
views on our mission.
In the present three year period we are working under five aims to provide:
-
better wellbeing and quality of life
- better informed public
- better services
- better information and education
- better involvement
We have a number of tasks under these aims, which are regularly monitored by the
committees and are reported in our annual report.
Since we produced that plan, many things have changed:
- we have a Scottish Parliament in
place
- the Millan Committee has
reported
- there have been improvements
in medication
- there is an increased
understanding of the idea of 'recovery'
What should we be doing now? Please complete the form
to let us know your views.
You can either email the table to us or alternatively print out the
completed form and send it to our National
