Almost £200 was raised by the Helios Ensemble for the Fellowship's activities at a fundraising concert in Edinburgh on Sunday 25 June. They performed two Mozart viola quintets to an audience at St George's West Church. The event was much enjoyed and we are very grateful for the support given by all those involved.

Ceilidh charity boost for NSF(S) funds

As part of their special 50th birthday celebrations in May, Chairman Susan Kirkwood and Vice Chairman Oksana Last invited folk to come to a ceildih at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen. Two charities - NSF(S) and the Scottish Culture and Traditions Association - benefited to the tune of over a thousand pounds.

Mary Weir, Chief Executive NSF(S), said: 'We are delighted by this donation. People whose lives have been affected by schizophrenia experience great stigma. The money raised by the ceilidh will be put to good use in supporting our activities in Scotland.

'Just as important is the moral support events of this kind give our members and those who use our services. We are very grateful to Susan and Oksana for their hard work and support, and to all those who attended what was a very enjoyable evening's entertainment.'
