National Office staff worked hard to prepare for the day. Here the conference packs are being checked in readiness for the delegates. The first speaker was Pamela Scott, a researcher from the Institute of Psychiatry in London, who spoke about issues in information processing abilities of people with schizophrenia In the afternoon, Lynn Welsh, Legal Officer for the Disability Rights Commission Scotland spoke about the Disability Discrimination Act.
There was a lot of lively discussion after both of the presentations, which were very well received. We welcomed as a new Board member Carolyn Little from Dumfries.
